We are always happy to give you and your dancer a tour or to offer a trial class so please call or visit to set up a time to visit. MAY WE SUGGESTChoosing the perfect class for your new dancer is sometimes confusing. All of our Fall-Winter recreational classes are designed to give the young dancer a taste of the dance world in a fun and nurturing environment. May we make the following suggestions for the classes that may be the most appropriate for your child. Young 3's - These children are between the ages of 2 1/2 and 3 years of age. We suggest a Creative Movement class which incorporates basic tumbling and dance skills in a fun environment. Ages 3-6 - Children who have never enrolled in a dance class do wonderfully in a ballet and tap combination class. These classes are designed to assist the child with gross motor skill development and to introduce them to the class environment. Ages 5-12 - Children with no dance experience should consider either a ballet and tap combination class, or an introductory Street Jazz and Hip Hop class. Children with at least one year of prior ballet and tap training may enjoy any of the classes mentioned above or they might want to try a jazz class. Dancers who are new to the studio but who have extensive prior dance experience should call the office during published Open House hours. We will be happy to assist you in choosing the best class(es) for you dancer.

BUT MOM, I HATE BALLET!How many parents have heard this lament as we pull our once ardent ballerina away from Sponge Bob and struggle to get them off to ballet class? With music videos and cool dancing bombarding even our littlest dancers...it's no wonder that the slow controlled pace of ballet can sometimes loose its appeal. What is the right answer? Why should your child study ballet? Ballet is the foundation for all other dance forms. It is the most physically demanding - but also the most rewarding. Dancers with good, basic ballet training can transfer these skills to jazz, modern dance, and even hip hop. A solid ballet foundation is critical to becoming an outstanding dancer in any dance form. Most children will not go on to become prima ballerinas...but strong ballet technique will make all other dance forms easier to master and therefore more rewarding. Mastering the discipline required to gain this technique will aid your child in most any other endeavor he embarks on. In addition to building a solid foundation for future dance training, studying ballet also introduces your child to the French language as they learn the proper terminology for the positions of the body and the various movements that are part of ballet. The study of ballet has even farther reaching benefits as it lengthens the muscles and contributes to the overall strength and well-being of your child's body. It teaches discipline, perseverance, and teamwork skills that your child will use throughout life. Studying ballet will not make every child a ballerina, but it will make your child's life better and their appreciation and enjoyment of dance deeper.
